Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan
Play Together. Grow Together. Follow your child's lead with brief, enjoyable play sessions.
Level 1 — Connect & Demonstrate
Place two large food pieces in front of your child and say: “This is an apple. Let's help the caterpillar visit it.” Show how to bring the caterpillar tip through one hole; invite pointing or trying.
Level 2 — Share the Play
Take turns choosing and threading one food. Say: “My turn: strawberry. Your turn: find the pizza!” Let your child select with a gesture, spoken word or picture card.
Level 3 — Grow Together
Lay out a 3-step illustrated food sequence and ask the child to find and thread the pieces in the same order. Increase to longer cards or a child-created story when ready.
Adjust the Play for Different Learners
For ADHD, use one short 2–3-piece round and an immediate finish cue. For ASD, keep pieces in a left-to-right visual sequence. For fine-motor difficulty, stabilize the wooden piece or use larger movements before more precise threading. For language differences, offer food-picture choices, gestures, or AAC.
