Kinmilo 24-Piece Textured Mini Sensory Mat Set – Shape & Touch Matching

Twenty-four little tactile discoveries

This Kinmilo set features 24 assorted compact textile touch mats with different geometric outlines, colors and touch surfaces such as smooth, ridged, fluffy or textured fabric. The small swatches are made for hands-on comparison and sorting, not as full-size walking or anti-slip floor mats.

Autism-friendly, child-led sensory exploration

Children vary greatly in the textures they like. A parent can show two mats, ask which one feels better and respect a child's choice to observe rather than touch. Use short, repeatable activities that encourage descriptive words, pointing, matching or AAC communication without forcing exposure to disliked textures.

Kinmilo Together Time activities

1. Touch and choose: place two different mats side by side and invite a preferred texture.
2. Color or shape sort: group circles, stars and polygons by outline or color.
3. Eyes open, hands exploring: compare soft and rough surfaces; name the feeling only if the child welcomes it.
4. Caregiver turn-taking: both partners take turns picking a mat and showing a matching item.
5. Senior reminiscence: for an older adult with dementia, offer one or two familiar-feeling fabrics and talk about clothing or household textiles, if enjoyable.

Safety and handling

Keep the mats flat and within reach on a clean table or lap. Check fasteners, seams and any grommets for damage. Direct adult supervision is required, especially for children or adults who may mouth or pull on components. Not a medical device, therapy claim or safety-rated floor product.
