Kinmilo 3D Mushroom Peg Mosaic Cube | 6 Panels & 54 Pegs
Build a colourful cube — then decorate it with mushroom pegs
This 3D construction activity combines interlocking brightly coloured square panels and round mushroom-style pegs. Children can assemble a cube with an adult, explore its faces, push in pegs and create colourful patterns and arrangements.
Illustrated set contents and size
The product specification image depicts six square construction panels and 54 mushroom pegs. The assembled cube is illustrated as approximately 15.5 × 15.5 × 15.5 cm; individual peg dimensions and shipping-carton size are not shown.
Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan
1. Connect & demonstrate
Start with a single panel rather than the full cube. Place one peg into a hole and say, “Push in. All done!” Encourage the child to try a peg, touch it or select the next colour.
2. Share the play
Parent and child alternate adding one peg at a time. Ask, “Red or blue?” and make one colour row together. Use short phrases “your turn,” “help” and “again” with pictures, gestures or AAC when useful.
3. Grow together
Create alternating rows, match the same pattern on two faces, count pegs, or build the cube panels together. For older or more confident children, copy simple 3D colour arrangements without time pressure.
For different learning needs
ADHD / active learners: use a short five-peg goal with breaks. ASD / autism: offer a predictable colour order and show a finished example. Developmental, intellectual or communication differences: start with a few pegs and a flat panel, use stable hand support where appropriate, and accept all forms of communication.
FAQ
Montessori or Waldorf compatible? The tactile, open-ended building and colour sorting activities complement both approaches.
