Adapt play for ADHD, autism and different learning needs
For ADHD, start with two pieces and one short task. For autistic or developmental differences, show a finished visual model, permit repetition and accept pointing.
Caregiver tip: Children can respond through speech, gestures, pointing, eye gaze or AAC. Support their choices, avoid forcing performance, and celebrate moments of shared play. These are opportunities for learning and connection, not treatment for ADHD, autism or learning disabilities and not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Guided activities for caregivers

Single-shape introduction: give your child one round piece and model putting it into the matching hole. Let the child explore at their own pace.
