Small wooden puzzle, big space for thinking

Kinmilo's Graded Wooden Geometry Puzzle Boards combine a compact tactile format with several different logic challenges. Children can lift and reposition the pieces, compare shapes, rotate parts and experiment with a new arrangement until the design fits. Select a shape pattern and difficulty style from one product page.

Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan

Play Together. Grow Together. Use your Graded Wooden Geometry & Tangram Logic Puzzles as a starting point for relaxed, child-led interaction. Try one short activity, and follow your child's interests, developmental stage and comfort.

  1. 1. Connect & demonstrate: Select one clear shape or pattern card and demonstrate placing the first piece.
  2. 2. Share the play: Take turns adding one piece to complete the picture or fit the available space; talk about “turn”, “same” and “next”.
  3. 3. Grow together: Let your child choose a new design or invent a pattern for you to copy.

Adapt play for ADHD, autism and different learning needs

For ADHD, start with two pieces and one short task. For autistic or developmental differences, show a finished visual model, permit repetition and accept pointing.

Caregiver tip: Children can respond through speech, gestures, pointing, eye gaze or AAC. Support their choices, avoid forcing performance, and celebrate moments of shared play. These are opportunities for learning and connection, not treatment for ADHD, autism or learning disabilities and not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Follow the product-specific age and safety guidance.

Five puzzle options with pictured board dimensions

  • Peach Tangram: 14 × 11 cm board.
  • Pink Cube Geometry: 13.7 × 10.5 cm board.
  • Black Triangle: 13.7 × 11 cm board.
  • Grey Interlocking Shapes: 14 × 9 cm board.
  • Beige Grid Logic: 14 × 9.5 cm board.

Measurements refer to the whole puzzle board as shown in the size diagrams, not individual pieces or retail packaging. Wood-based board and removable shaped play pieces are shown in the product photographs.

Caregiver-led games for different learning styles

Try “copy my shape”: place one piece and invite the child to match its angle. For children with ADHD, keep challenges brief and active: pick, place, check, reset. Give an optional movement break between rounds.

For autistic learners: show a finished example first, use a consistent beginning and ending, and reduce verbal demands when visual modelling works better. Offer a choice between two patterns rather than an open-ended demand.

For children with developmental delays or intellectual disabilities: begin with sorting pieces by shape or colour, then guide one space at a time. Praise the child's exploration and independent attempts rather than speed.

For children who communicate with AAC: model vocabulary such as TURN, HELP, MATCH, FINISHED and AGAIN with pictures or communication devices. Let the child choose the next puzzle.

Practical skill opportunities

  • Fine-motor placement and controlled rotation
  • Visual attention, comparison and spatial awareness
  • Problem-solving through trial, error and persistence
  • Shared communication, turn-taking and requesting assistance

Safety and testing

Designed for supervised table play; keep small removable pieces away from children who mouth objects. Kinmilo maintains CPC and CE testing reports for the product range.
