Touch a picture. Listen, explore and communicate.

Kinmilo's Interactive Talking Wall Poster turns familiar pictures into a playful point-and-listen learning activity. A range of themes helps children discover animal names, transport, foods, community helpers and early alphabet concepts. Choose one poster theme from the product options instead of browsing multiple copies of the same product.

Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan

Play Together. Grow Together. Use your Interactive Talking Learning Wall Poster as a starting point for relaxed, child-led interaction. Try one short activity, and follow your child's interests, developmental stage and comfort.

  1. 1. Connect & demonstrate: Choose a favourite picture, letter or sound on the learning surface. Say, “Let's listen to just one.”
  2. 2. Share the play: Touch or point to the picture, listen together and take turns choosing the next sound; repeat a favourite if your child wishes.
  3. 3. Grow together: Connect the sound or word with a real object or everyday action, then invite the child to select another example.

Adapt play for ADHD, autism and different learning needs

For children with limited spoken language, model one word while accepting gesture, eye gaze or AAC. For sensory differences, offer low volume and breaks; no verbal repetition is required.

Caregiver tip: Children can respond through speech, gestures, pointing, eye gaze or AAC. Support their choices, avoid forcing performance, and celebrate moments of shared play. These are opportunities for learning and connection, not treatment for ADHD, autism or learning disabilities and not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Follow the product-specific age and safety guidance.

Choose your learning theme

  • Fruits & Vegetables: everyday food names, colour and grouping vocabulary.
  • Animal World: familiar wild and land animals, names and picture identification.
  • Vehicles: transport names and community journeys.
  • Ocean Animals: marine animal matching and sea-life conversation.
  • Occupations: people at work, social roles and everyday community vocabulary.
  • Alphabet & Numbers: letter, object and early counting associations.

The illustrated control panel includes on/off, study, facts, games, quiz/test, follow-me, songs and volume options. Exact spoken content varies with the selected theme.

A five-minute parent-and-child play routine

1. Pick a favourite picture. Invite the child to point to one image or activate it themselves. Repeat the name together without requiring speech.

2. Listen and find. Ask “Where is the elephant?” or “Show me a vehicle”. Start with two possibilities and expand the choices.

3. Make a connection. Point to a matching toy or real-life object. For a transport poster, look for a car on a walk; for food, point out an apple at mealtime.

4. Take turns. The adult makes a choice, then the child directs the next prompt. Use picture cards or an AAC device when useful.

5. End predictably. Let the child press OFF and select the theme for next time.

Adapt the activity to individual needs

ADHD and high activity levels: put the poster at a reachable height and use short “find three pictures” challenges with movement between rounds. Autism: lower the volume, begin with preferred topics and use a repeatable sequence with an obvious stop signal. Developmental and intellectual disabilities: practise identifying one or two familiar pictures before introducing larger sets of vocabulary. AAC users: model WANT, MORE, STOP, ANIMAL, GO and HELP so the child can choose the activity and respond through their preferred communication method.

Testing and FAQs

Kinmilo maintains CPC and CE testing reports for its product range. Use with caregiver supervision and follow the product instructions.

Is this Montessori/Waldorf-compatible? It can supplement child-led exploration through naming, matching and imaginative discussion; an adult can also pair the poster with hands-on objects.

Must my child repeat the spoken word? No. Pointing, choosing, gestures, AAC and shared listening are all meaningful forms of participation.

Is this a speech therapy device? No. It provides vocabulary-rich play opportunities, not clinical treatment.
