Kinmilo Lion 6-in-1 Sensory Activity Drum – Tapping, Spinning & Fine Motor Play
Explore six playful activities in one little lion drum
With a friendly lion face, colourful manipulatives and a large drum surface, the Kinmilo Lion Activity Drum invites little learners to tap, turn, slide and explore. Rotating panels, tactile features and sound-making play encourage hands-on discovery at a child's pace. The lightweight, rounded play centre is designed for shared floor or tabletop activities.
Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan
Play Together. Grow Together. Use your Lion 6-in-1 Sensory Activity Drum as a starting point for relaxed, child-led interaction. Try one short activity, and follow your child's interests, developmental stage and comfort.
- 1. Connect & demonstrate: Choose one spinning or motion element. Show a gentle movement and say, “Look how it turns!”
- 2. Share the play: Take turns setting it in motion and watching what changes; pause for a request of “again” using any communication mode.
- 3. Grow together: Compare two speeds or directions, or let your child show you a favourite movement to copy.
Adapt play for ADHD, autism and different learning needs
For sensory differences, allow your child to control the speed or end the activity. Keep sessions short and supervise moving components.
Caregiver tip: Children can respond through speech, gestures, pointing, eye gaze or AAC. Support their choices, avoid forcing performance, and celebrate moments of shared play. These are opportunities for learning and connection, not treatment for ADHD, autism or learning disabilities and not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Follow the product-specific age and safety guidance.
Caregiver Activity Guide
- Follow the sound: show one gentle tap and invite a copy. Pause after each tap for the child to respond.
- Choose a side: offer two visible panels; let the child point, look or gesture toward the next activity.
- Practise small movements: rotate a dial or move a slider slowly, using graded assistance only if helpful.
- Build a two-turn rhythm: caregiver taps, child taps, caregiver pauses. Add gesture or AAC symbols for “more,” “stop,” and “again.”
- Make a sensory break: use a preferred tactile panel for a brief focused activity and stop if the sound becomes uncomfortable.
Inclusive Play for Different Learning Needs
For children with ADHD or high activity levels, use one short task and switch activities between movement breaks. For autistic children, introduce sound gradually and let them control the pace and volume through their own tapping. For developmental delays, intellectual disabilities and other disabilities, begin with one action and celebrate any purposeful reach, gaze, hand movement or communication attempt. Practising touch exploration, hand coordination, choice-making and shared attention offers meaningful play opportunities without promising therapy outcomes.
