Build patterns, stories and shapes with magnetic geometry

Kinmilo Magnetic Geometry Puzzle Boards combine vibrant geometric magnetic shapes, activity cards and a reusable drawing surface in one hands-on learning family. Children can recreate pictures, explore symmetry, arrange colourful mosaics, and build their own designs. The photographs show multiple kit sizes and storage-box formats so families can choose the complexity and quantity that suits their play space.

Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan

Start small. Play together. Follow your child's pace. A practical 3–5 minute starting activity, with no pressure to perform.

  1. 1 · Connect & demonstrate: Lay out two large magnetic shapes. Point to each and say, “This is a triangle. Can we find another?”
  2. 2 · Share the play: Build one simple design together from the activity picture. Take turns choosing and positioning a shape.
  3. 3 · Grow together: Invite your child to invent a house, animal or pattern and show you which shape comes next.

Make the activity work for your child

For attention differences, present only two pieces at a time; for autistic or minimally speaking children, use a visual example and accept pointing or AAC. Supervise all magnetic pieces and follow age guidance.

What matters most: notice your child's interests, offer genuine choices, welcome different ways of communicating, and end on a positive shared moment. These are educational play opportunities, not treatments or guaranteed outcomes.

Hands-on learning opportunities

  • Spatial awareness, rotation and geometric shape recognition
  • Visual matching, sequencing and independent problem solving
  • Fine-motor control as children pick up and position shapes
  • Number formation, pattern copying, imagination and collaboration

Step-by-step parent and caregiver activities

  1. Two-shape start: offer just a triangle and a square. Name the colours, place each on the board and copy a two-piece pattern together.
  2. Copy and finish: place three shapes to start a simple picture and ask your child to add one final piece.
  3. For ADHD and energetic learners: set a quick visual challenge, then have your child stand and fetch the next card. Use manageable play rounds instead of a long worksheet-style session.
  4. For autistic children: use repeated starter patterns, clear 'first build, then tidy' cues and a small organised selection of pieces to manage sensory load.
  5. For developmental or intellectual disabilities: begin with matching one colour and one shape, model a placement and increase complexity only after the child is comfortable.
  6. For AAC users and children with Angelman syndrome: offer gesture or symbol choices for colour, shape, 'more' and 'finished'; follow their responses during shared creation.
  7. Open-ended play: create a house, flower or rocket, describe the result and invite the child to invent another scene.

Set options and sizes

Choose a photographed piece-count kit: 50, 144, 180, 188, 220, 225, 248, 258 or 280 pieces. Some kits include a wooden storage box, reusable board, cards or accessories; contents vary by the selected set. The 180-piece image identifies a box around 22.5 × 22.5 × 3.7 cm, and the packaged 188/248-piece formats show a retail carton labelled approximately 31.2 × 26.5 × 5 cm. These are box/packaging measurements, not the dimensions of individual magnetic blocks. Refer to each illustrated variant for its format and accessories.
