The Kinmilo Magnetic Maze & Puzzle Activity Collection brings color sorting, early counting, magnetic tracing, letters, pattern building and problem-solving into a choice of screen-free tabletop activities. Choose the activity style that matches your child's interests and current abilities—from a guided number maze to an imaginative magnetic puzzle book.

Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan

Play Together. Grow Together. Use your Magnetic Maze & Puzzle Activity Collection as a starting point for relaxed, child-led interaction. Try one short activity, and follow your child's interests, developmental stage and comfort.

  1. 1. Connect & demonstrate: Choose one letter, word card or picture your child recognises and place it in front of them. Say, “Let's find its match.”
  2. 2. Share the play: Take turns finding, arranging or pointing to the next letter or picture; connect it to a familiar spoken or signed word.
  3. 3. Grow together: Build a short word or pair two pictures, then let the child invent a new word or ask you to find one.

Adapt play for ADHD, autism and different learning needs

For ADHD, limit the display to one or two choices. For children with communication differences, use picture-to-letter matching, pointing or AAC rather than requiring reading aloud.

Caregiver tip: Children can respond through speech, gestures, pointing, eye gaze or AAC. Support their choices, avoid forcing performance, and celebrate moments of shared play. These are opportunities for learning and connection, not treatment for ADHD, autism or learning disabilities and not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Follow the product-specific age and safety guidance.

Choose your activity style

  • Number and color magnetic mazes: guide colorful pieces through shaped paths, match quantities and sort by visual clues.
  • Animal, ocean, vehicle and design boards: use themed imagery to practise vocabulary, sequencing and visual discrimination.
  • Magnetic learning books: combine alphabet/number matching with open-ended shape puzzles and pattern games.
  • Wooden handheld ball labyrinth: follow a path with careful tilting and hand control.

Parent-led activities: a practical 5-step play guide

  1. Start with a visual choice. Show two images or colors and invite your child to select a goal using speech, pointing, gesture or an AAC device.
  2. Model just one move. Guide a piece to its first destination while saying a short phrase such as “red to red” or “one more.” Pause to let the child try.
  3. Build a matching routine. Ask your child to find a color, animal, numeral or shape; celebrate attempts as well as completed matches.
  4. Practise turns. Use “my turn / your turn” cards, a short countdown and a predictable stop point to make cooperative play easier.
  5. Extend gradually. Increase from one instruction to a two-step challenge: “find blue, then count three.” Invite the child to teach you a new rule.

Inclusive play ideas for different learning profiles

Autistic learners (ASD): offer a consistent sequence and a clear visual endpoint. Begin with familiar colors and avoid changing multiple rules at once. For sensory-sensitive children, offer quiet play and regular breaks.

Children with ADHD or high activity levels: try short, goal-based rounds with immediate feedback: move three beads, take a stretch break, then return for a new challenge. Physical movement between rounds can help make play manageable.

Developmental delay or intellectual disabilities: use high-contrast matching, one-step language and hand-over-hand support only with the child's comfort and consent. Repeat favorite actions without pressure for speed.

Motor coordination or communication differences: position the board at a comfortable angle, allow extra response time, and use pointing, eye gaze or AAC symbols to make choices. A caregiver can move pieces when needed while the child directs the game.
