Kinmilo Montessori Ten Frame Math Set | Wooden Counting, Addition & Subtraction Game
Kinmilo Montessori Ten Frame Math Set | Wooden Counting, Addition & Subtraction Game
Explore the numbers 0–10 with two tactile wooden ten-frames, colourful counting pegs, number tokens, and illustrated addition/subtraction cards. The physical moves make it easier for a child to see how a number is made and changed.
Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan
Play Together. Grow Together. This guided activity offers opportunities to practise, connect and explore at the child's pace; it is not a treatment or guaranteed developmental outcome.
1. Connect & Demonstrate
Place three counters into a frame and say, “One, two, three. There are three! Can you put in one more?” Count slowly while pointing to each counter.
2. Share the Play
You place one counter and your child places the next; alternate choosing a number card and building that many counters together.
3. Grow Together
Start with matching quantities 1–3, build up to 10, then explore number bonds such as 3 + 4 = 7 and subtraction by removing pieces.
Adapt the Play to Your Child
ADHD & High Activity Levels
Use quick ‘fill three holes’ challenges with movement breaks between rounds.
Autism Spectrum (ASD) & Sensory Preferences
Keep digits and quantities visually aligned; repeat the same counting routine before switching operations.
Developmental Delay & Intellectual Disabilities
Begin with one frame and low numbers, then introduce more counters only when comfortable.
Communication Differences & AAC
Provide number tiles or symbols for “more”, “less”, “plus”, “take away”, “finished”; responses may be by pointing.
