Kinmilo Together Time: a guided activity plan

1. Connect and demonstrate

Invite the child to choose orange or yellow. Trace just one short part of the maze with your own finger and say, “My finger follows the line.” Let the child copy, trace their own route, point or communicate using AAC.

2. Share the activity

Play a slow turn-taking game: “My turn from here to here; your turn to the corner.” Offer a choice between a fluffy edge tab and a smooth ribbon when the child would rather explore textures than follow the maze.

3. Grow together

Try a slightly longer path, trace from one edge to another, or name/point to two different textures. Adjust difficulty by simplifying to one short segment, providing a visual start marker, or pausing for a sensory break.
