Kinmilo Themed Wooden Peg Puzzle Boards – Animals, Food, Transport & Alphabet
Discover a new world with each wooden picture puzzle
The Kinmilo Themed Wooden Peg Puzzle Boards turn early vocabulary into hands-on matching. Choose from animals, fruits, vegetables, vehicles and alphabet activities, or collect a coordinated multi-board set. Each colourful board has lift-out pieces and illustrated outlines to invite exploration, naming, sorting and storytelling.
Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan
Start small. Play together. Follow your child's pace. A practical 3–5 minute starting activity, with no pressure to perform.
- 1 · Connect & demonstrate: Choose your child's favourite theme and lay out two peg pieces. Say, “Which one shall we find first?”
- 2 · Share the play: Take turns lifting and placing a piece. Describe what you see: “A bus goes on the road,” or “This apple is red.”
- 3 · Grow together: Let your child choose a new board theme or use the pictures to make a tiny story about shopping, animals or a journey.
Make the activity work for your child
For attention differences, show just one or two choices; for children who use AAC or gestures, offer picture choices and model useful words without requiring speech. Supervise detachable puzzle pieces.
What matters most: notice your child's interests, offer genuine choices, welcome different ways of communicating, and end on a positive shared moment. These are educational play opportunities, not treatments or guaranteed outcomes.
Choose Your Theme
- Animals: match familiar animals and make their sounds.
- Fruit: compare colours and make pretend shopping choices.
- Vegetables: pair pieces with everyday foods and mealtime words.
- Transport: explore vehicles, movement and action words.
- Alphabet: explore letters, initial sounds and names.
- Multi-Board Sets: rotate themes across play sessions. The seven-board collection includes shape and number themes.
Parent and Caregiver Activity Guide
- Point, find, lift: start with one familiar piece, name it or show a matching image, then let the child remove it.
- Match two choices: offer two pieces and invite a selection by touching, looking or pointing.
- Build a story: a vehicle can travel to the fruit shop, or an animal can visit the farm.
- Play categories: sort food from animals, or items that move from things that grow.
- Communicate: model “more,” “finished,” “help” and “my turn” with words, signs or AAC cards.
Inclusive Learning for Different Needs
For children with ADHD or high energy, offer three-piece mini-tasks followed by a movement break. For autistic children, use a favourite topic and a predictable play sequence while respecting tactile preferences. For children with developmental delay, intellectual disability, Angelman syndrome or other disabilities, show one or two pieces at a time, stabilize the board and accept pointing, eye gaze or partner-assisted scanning rather than demanding speech. These activities offer opportunities for communication, coordination and visual attention rather than medical or therapeutic promises.
