Hands-On Adventures for Little Hands & Shared Family Moments

The Kinmilo Wooden Fine-Motor & Tabletop Activity Collection brings three distinct play styles together in one easy-to-browse product family. Select Magnetic Sea-Life Fishing, a themed Wooden Lacing Bead Set, or the colorful Two-in-One Tabletop Strategy Board. Each option is a separate physical activity set; purchase the exact style selected above.

Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan

Play Together. Grow Together. Use your Wooden Fine-Motor Activity Collection as a starting point for relaxed, child-led interaction. Try one short activity, and follow your child's interests, developmental stage and comfort.

  1. 1. Connect & demonstrate: Show one bead, lace or grasping tool and model how to pick up or thread a single piece.
  2. 2. Share the play: Take turns adding one piece, passing the tool or string and making a short colour pattern.
  3. 3. Grow together: Invite your child to create a two-colour sequence for you to copy, or choose the next piece.

Adapt play for ADHD, autism and different learning needs

For motor differences, offer a larger piece and supported grasp; for attention differences, work with only two or three pieces. Supervise strings and small components.

Caregiver tip: Children can respond through speech, gestures, pointing, eye gaze or AAC. Support their choices, avoid forcing performance, and celebrate moments of shared play. These are opportunities for learning and connection, not treatment for ADHD, autism or learning disabilities and not a guarantee of a particular outcome. Follow the product-specific age and safety guidance.

Explore the Activity Styles

  • Magnetic Sea-Life Fishing: illustrated sea animals, magnetic fishing rods and an ocean-themed play surface with a storage tub, encouraging reach, grasp and playful story-building.
  • Themed Wooden Lacing Beads: chunky illustrated threading pieces and laces. Themes pictured include animals, insects, fruit, dinosaurs, traffic, sea life, castle and space. Practice a sequence or create a story while threading.
  • Two-in-One Wooden Tabletop Strategy Board: a colorful board with path-based play on one face and star-shaped peg play on the other, with small playing pieces for family game time.

Parent & Caregiver Play Guide

  1. Prepare a low-distraction area. Place just one set on the table and keep extra pieces to the side. Invite the child to explore by looking, pointing or touching.
  2. Magnetic fishing: begin with two sea creatures. Demonstrate lowering the rod, lifting a creature and placing it in the tub. Use short phrases: “fish — lift — in.” Take turns choosing colors or animal names.
  3. Threading beads: hold the lace steady and invite the child to guide one wooden piece through. Begin with two beads, then make a color or animal pattern: red–blue–red–blue. If needed, support the movement hand-over-hand only with the child's comfort and agreement.
  4. Tabletop board: start by sorting playing pieces by color, then use one die roll or one move at a time. Explain a single simple rule, model the turn and build up toward a shared game.
  5. Build communication: use pictures or AAC symbols for “more,” “stop,” “my turn,” “choose” and animal names. Accept pointing, gestures and nonverbal responses.
  6. Celebrate meaningful effort: acknowledge reaching, grasping, completing one threading action, choosing a creature, taking a turn or independently requesting a break.

Inclusive Learning Opportunities

For children with ADHD or high activity levels: break activities into brief rounds with predictable movement breaks. For autistic children: offer a preview of the sequence, steady sensory input and flexible participation. For developmental delay or intellectual disability: begin with fewer pieces and repeat a single action at the child's own pace. For children developing fine-motor coordination: practice reach, bilateral hand use, grasp-and-release and controlled threading through playful repetition. These activities create opportunities for engagement and interaction; they are not medical treatments.

Verified Dimensions & Materials

Safety & Care

Kinmilo maintains CPC and CE testing documentation for this product range. Adult supervision is essential. This collection contains removable small parts, strings and, in the fishing set, magnets. Keep away from children under 3 and from anyone who may place components in the mouth. Inspect magnets, cords and pieces before use. Wipe wooden components gently and keep dry.
