Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan
Play Together. Grow Together. Meet the child at their own pace. Adapt each activity to the child's preferences and abilities.
- Connect & demonstrate: Choose one board and just two matching tiles. Show a single match: “Here are three dots. Let's find three.” Slide the matching piece into place.
- Share the play: Parent and child alternate finding tiles. Ask “Same picture?” or “Which one fits?” and let the child point, gesture or use an AAC symbol.
- Grow together: Increase from two matches to a short pattern, then compare dot quantity with numerals or group pictures into familiar themes.
Inclusive Activities for Different Learners
- For ADHD: keep extra tiles inside the box and set one small challenge per round.
- For autism: offer a clear model row and a 'choose → match → check' routine; avoid changing several rules at once.
- For developmental delay: use two identical picture tiles first, then one contrasting item.
- For intellectual disability or AAC users: repeat short labels, provide two visible choices and accept eye gaze or pointing as a response.
Montessori- & Waldorf-Inspired Learning
Prepare a calm play space, demonstrate with simple movements, invite independent discovery and follow the child's curiosity. Encourage flexible imaginative play as well as repetition.
