See a Detail, Find a Match, Finish the Picture

Kinmilo creates hands-on learning invitations for family play, preschool activities and caregiver-led practice. Every turn is a chance to look, touch, talk, compare and celebrate a small success.

Kinmilo Together Time: A Parent–Child Play Plan

Play Together. Grow Together. Turn Wooden Seek-and-Find Picture Jigsaw Puzzles into relaxed parent–child interaction. Begin with a short activity, respond to your child's interests and allow breaks.

  1. 1. Connect & demonstrate: Show one picture, shape or colour and ask 'Where should this go?'
  2. 2. Share the play: Take turns comparing and placing one piece at a time.
  3. 3. Grow together: Invite the child to choose a second category or make a two-piece pattern.

Adapt the activity for ADHD, autism and developmental or learning differences

Show just two choices and a visual model; accept pointing, gesture or AAC. For children with different communication needs, invite speech, pointing, gesture, eye gaze or AAC. A predictable start, limited choices and a clear stopping point can make play easier to join.

A note for families: Enjoy connection and meaningful participation rather than speed or perfect answers. These activities offer educational practice opportunities, not a medical treatment or a guaranteed developmental outcome. Follow the product's age and safety instructions, especially for detachable components.

Materials, Contents & Dimensions

Wooden interlocking seek-and-find picture jigsaws featuring detailed animals, cats, city scenes and snack-shelf illustrations. The gallery also shows optional tabletop display frames in natural and darker wooden finishes. Some photographed designs are marked 50 pieces. Frame designs and picture themes are presented individually rather than as separate product listings.

How Parents & Caregivers Can Play

  1. Lay out a small group of large, easy-to-recognize puzzle sections and name the visible animals or everyday objects.
  2. Ask your child to find one specific colour, face, product or familiar item before fitting the next piece.
  3. Match picture edges together, then gradually add pieces to finish a complete illustrated scene.
  4. Invite two players to take turns searching, handing over a piece and describing where it belongs.
  5. Use the completed scene as a conversation starter: 'What is on the shelf?' or 'Which animal is hiding?'.

Inclusive Activity Ideas

For autistic learners or children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, cover part of the picture to reduce visual clutter and offer a two-piece choice. For children who enjoy detailed searches, play an I-spy game. Children with ADHD can alternate brief active searches with short puzzle-building turns.

Start with short, enjoyable turns. Model the action, offer a choice between two pieces, allow processing time and adjust the challenge to the child's preferences. Encourage participation rather than speed or perfection. Activities provide opportunities to practise communication, attention, visual discrimination, sensory exploration and fine-motor coordination; they are not medical treatment.

Care & Product Testing

Wipe wooden components with a lightly damp cloth and dry promptly. Use with age-appropriate supervision, especially around smaller pieces. CPC and CE testing reports are part of Kinmilo's product documentation.
