Wooden Kitchen Appliances & Afternoon Tea Pretend Play | 6 Styles | Kinmilo
Little hands, big café ideas
Invite your child into a warm, imaginative kitchen with the Kinmilo Wooden Kitchen Appliance & Afternoon Tea Pretend Play Collection. Choose from six individual play styles—each with its own coordinated accessories—for child-led cooking stories, early language practice and everyday-life role play. These are selectable styles, not one combined six-piece bundle.
Choose your play style
- Afternoon Tea Set: a miniature serving tray, teacups and sweet treats for hosting, sharing and polite turn-taking.
- Coffee Maker: a wooden countertop coffee machine with cup and pretend drink accessories for ordering and serving.
- Stand Mixer: a kitchen mixer with mixing bowl and baking-themed accessories for step-by-step pretend recipes.
- Toaster: a wooden toaster with bread slices and breakfast accessories for a familiar morning routine.
- Waffle Maker: a toy waffle maker and pretend waffle pieces for sequencing a breakfast order.
- Juicer: a playful juicer with fruit-themed pieces for making pretend drinks and naming colors.
Parent-and-child activity guide
1. Start with a small, clear invitation
Lay out the main appliance and two accessories. Say, “First choose a cup. Then make a drink.” Model the action slowly; let your child copy it or invent their own approach.
2. Practice choice-making and communication
Offer two picture-like choices: “Tea or coffee?” Children can answer by speaking, pointing, signing or showing a preferred item. Expand a one-word response naturally: “Coffee” becomes “Coffee, please.”
3. Build a gentle sequence
Use three steps—choose, prepare, serve. Repeat the same steps across play sessions, then vary the story: a café, a breakfast table or a family celebration.
4. Add turn-taking and everyday independence
Take turns being the cook and customer. Encourage passing a cup, asking for an item, clearing a pretend table and returning pieces to their place.
Inclusive play ideas for different learning needs
ADHD and high activity levels: keep rounds brief, allow movement breaks and offer one achievable role at a time, such as “deliver two cups.” Autistic children: offer a predictable first–then routine, simple visuals and sensory choices; parallel play is welcome before shared play. Developmental delay or intellectual disability: begin with matching one object to one action, repeat favorite routines and celebrate participation at the child's own pace. Fine-motor differences: use stable surfaces, larger pieces first, gentle hand-over-hand assistance only when welcomed, and allow extra time. Emerging communication: invite pointing, gestures, AAC or short spoken phrases.
Shared play creates opportunities to practice attention, fine-motor coordination, sequencing, vocabulary, social exchange and confidence. This is an educational activity, not a treatment or a promise of developmental outcomes.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a single six-appliance bundle?
No. Select one style from the Style menu. Each style is sold with its own pictured companion accessories.
Is the toy Montessori- or Waldorf-inspired?
Yes. Its hands-on, child-led routines connect with Montessori-inspired practical-life play, while imaginative storytelling also fits Waldorf-style creative play. It is not an official Montessori teaching apparatus.
How can I adapt this activity for an autistic child or a child with ADHD?
Use a consistent short routine, offer two clear choices and match the pace to the child. Pause and resume whenever useful; there is no required way to complete a pretend recipe.
What can we practice with limited speech?
Model requests such as “more,” “cup” and “my turn,” or use pointing, gesture and an AAC board. Play can remain interactive without spoken answers.
Are the listed measurements for the assembled toy?
No. The table identifies each style's retail gift-box measurements so that packaging size is not confused with product dimensions.
